                                 Broiled Tofu Bites on a Skewer

* 100 g hard tofu
* 1 teaspoon salad oil
* 1 tablespoon white or red miso
* 2 tablespoons sugar
* 1 tablespoon sweet sake for seasoning (mirin)
Cooking Procedure:
  1. Wrap the tofu in a paper towel. Put on it in a tray. Place a folded kitchen towel under one side of the tray and lean the tray on it. Let sit for about 15 minutes.
  2. Mix the miso, sugar and sweet sake for seasoning (mirin) in a dish. Warm it in a microwave.
  3. Cut the tofu into bite-size pieces.
  4. Insert a stick into each piece.
  5. Heat the salad oil in a frying pan. Pan-broil both sides of the tofu pieces until they turn brown. Remove from the pan.
  6. Broiled Tofu Bites on a Skewer
  7. Pour the miso sauce over the broiled tofu pieces.
