Ingredients:
* 100 g hard tofu
* 1 teaspoon salad oil
Sauce:
* 1 tablespoon white or red miso
* 2 tablespoons sugar
* 1 tablespoon sweet sake for seasoning (mirin)
Cooking Procedure:
- Wrap the tofu in a paper towel. Put on it in a tray. Place a folded kitchen towel under one side of the tray and lean the tray on it. Let sit for about 15 minutes.
- Mix the miso, sugar and sweet sake for seasoning (mirin) in a dish. Warm it in a microwave.
- Cut the tofu into bite-size pieces.
- Insert a stick into each piece.
- Heat the salad oil in a frying pan. Pan-broil both sides of the tofu pieces until they turn brown. Remove from the pan.
- Broiled Tofu Bites on a Skewer
- Pour the miso sauce over the broiled tofu pieces.
